Killing Floor

I started playing Killing Floor, a survival horror-ish FPS that's like an RPG-lite Left 4 Dead, a few weeks ago during their Christmas event.  The developers went to the trouble of re-texturing all the monsters with Christmasy cheer, which was great until I played tonight after the event was over.

I had developed strategies for the different festive monsters ("Okay, you take the reindeer, I'll take the crowd of elves, and then we'll regroup at the front and shoot the goddamned nutcracker in the head").  Now, I felt like I was in a completely different game, with bland zombie-ish creatures trying to kill me.  I had no idea who was what, and spent a lot of time staring at my respawn screen and readjusting my aiming priorities.
